Established by Annick Goutal, born in Paris in 1945; a child prodigy
at the piano; trained as a ‘nose’ with Robertet in Grasse,
France, married cellist Alain Meunier in 1980 and opened her first boutique
in Paris in 1981, that sold just one scent, Folavril. In 1986 Parfums
Annick Goutal became part of the Taittinger group; opened further shops,
left business due to ill health in 1988. In 1992 when in remission from
her cancer, Brigitte Taittinger-Warren persuaded her to return.
On 20 August 1999 Annick died of cancer; her daughter Camille has continued
to develop new fragrances.
