Division of the world’s number three jewellery company, had its origins near the Albanian border. In 1880 a talented 20-year old silversmith Sotirio Boulgaris and his friend Demetrio Kremo headed for Italy, the two parted company. In 1934 Sitirio’s relatives Italianised the name to Bvlgari; it is still a family run business; now branched out into fashion-wear, accessories and fragrances. All the flacons are designed by Thierry de Baschmakoff; renowned for their clean smooth and immaculate lines, an epitome of clam classicism and reflects the understated opulence of the Bvlgari style. In 1998 an agreement signed with Ferregamo to develop a range of cosmetics and fragrances under the Ferregamo name.
Bvlgari Bvlgari Parfums 1985 Created by Jean-Claude Ellena and Sophia Grojsman; a classical floral parfum with notes of jasmine, orange blossom, Prelude rose, ylang-ylang, Brazilian rosewood, Florentine iris and musk. Presented in a half-transparent, half-frosted flacon designed by Thierry de Baschmakoff. Re-launched in 1992

Bvlgari Black Bvlgari Parfums 1998 Created by Annick Menaigo; a crisp dry chypre edt spray (unisex) with top notes of Lapsang tea and smoke accords, heart notes of resin and rubber accords on base notes of amber and woody accords. Presented in a matt black and silver pack whose style is more akin to their watch designs and is more like a talisman than a perfume bottle.
